Steve is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and a Chartered Accountant (Fellow) (FCA) member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
For 24 years, since 2000, his role has concentrated on taxation, business and share valuations and forensic work. He is a member of the Tax Faculty of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, as well as the Valuation and Forensic Special Interest Groups of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Steve is also a member of the UK200 Group Tax Expert Panel and their Forensic Accounting Specialist Group.
He has been appointed single and joint expert on valuation and tax matters on multiple occasions and has given evidence in court.
He is experienced in:
• Preparing business and share valuations for fiscal, negotiation and litigation purposes.
• Acting for predominantly SME’s on business, corporate, personal, capital gains, inheritance tax, Stamp Duty and Stamp Duty Land Tax matters.
• Dealing with, and defending, personal and corporate clients during HMRC investigations.
• Dispute resolution tax work.
• Working with both private clients and businesses on the tax implications of commercial transactions, personal, business, and employer taxation issues, and capital and estate tax planning.
