Sean Wiegand to succeed Nick Forsyth as Managing Partner from 1 July 2026 as part of planned leadership transition.

Lambert Chapman LLP has announced that Sean Wiegand will succeed Nick Forsyth as Managing Partner with effect from 1 July 2026.

This leadership transition marks the first step in a planned succession process and follows eight successful years in the role for Nick Forsyth, who has led the firm since 2018.

From 1 July, Nick will move into a Senior Partner role alongside the firm’s other five partners, continuing to support clients and contribute to the strategic development of the practice.

Sean Wiegand, who has been a member of the firm’s senior leadership team for over 14 years, will now lead Lambert Chapman through its next phase of development.

Sean specialises in advising owner-managed businesses and has played a pivotal role in Lambert Chapman’s success over this time.

Sean joined Lambert Chapman as an ACA trainee in 1999. After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, he rose quickly through the ranks, becoming the firms youngest Partner in 2012.

Nick joined the Lambert Chapman management team in 1990 as an Audit and Portfolio Manager and within 3 years, was promoted to Partner. Here, he built an enviable list of industry contacts through his involvement in Braintree Chamber of Trade and more recently, the UK200Group. In 2018, Nick took over the position of Managing Partner.

Under Nick’s leadership, Lambert Chapman has strengthened its position as one of the region’s leading professional service firms, investing in its people, broadening its service offering and building long-standing relationships with clients and industry contacts across the East of England.

Collectively, Nick and Sean have over 63 years of experience with the firm, ensuring a seamless transition and continuity for clients and colleagues alike.

The appointment of Sean Wiegand reflects the firm’s ambition to continue delivering high-quality advice and services to clients, while maintaining the core values, culture and personal approach that has underpinned Lambert Chapman’s success throughout its 56-year history.

Commenting on his appointment, Sean Wiegand said:

“I have seen first-hand the evolution of the firm and the dedication of the people who make it such a special place to work. It is therefore a privilege to be appointed Managing Partner and lead the next chapter of our journey.”

“I would like to thank Nick Forsyth for his guidance and leadership over the last eight years. He leaves the role having strengthened the firm considerably, and I look forward to building on that success as we continue to invest in our people, support our clients and grow our presence across the region.”

Nick Forsyth added:

“When I succeeded Nigel Whittle as Managing Partner, I inherited a firm with a proud history and strong values. It has been immensely rewarding to play a part in its continued development over the last eight years.”

“As I hand over the role to Sean Wiegand, I do so knowing that the firm is in excellent hands. Sean has been a key part of the senior leadership team for many years and embodies everything that makes Lambert Chapman special – professionalism, integrity, approachability and a genuine commitment to helping clients succeed. I wish him every success in his new role and look forward to seeing the firm continue to thrive.”
