UK200Group Develops Management & Leadership Pathways Programme for 2020
In partnership with Mercia, UK200Group is delighted to release an updated, developed course prospectus
Our UK200Group Management and Leadership Pathways programme has been running for 3 years, with over 200 delegates attending the
programme during that time. The UK200Group Centre met with Mercia in December 2019 with a mission to update the programme to encompass our member’s feedback, gathered from delegates who had attended the programme. We were delighted to be joined by Michael Siviter (Mercia training consultant), John Sharkey (Mercia training consultant), Declan Swan (UK200Group CEO), as well as 2019 Pathways alumni, Claire Morgan from George Hay and Paul Stafford from TBL.
Released on 29th January 2020, our revamped programme aims to provide individuals at our member firms with the support that they need to fulfil their potential. In turn, this will help your firm and your clients meet their respective goals. The programme consists of a series of modular, integrated and developmental series of workshops addressing specific management, leadership and business development skills that team members will need as they progress along their respective career paths.
Supported by Mercia’s training consultants, each module will include action planning sessions, where delegates will be encouraged to identify specific takeaways from the modules. These takeaways will be added to personal development plans by each delegate, specific to their needs. On return to their firms after attending each module, delegates will be issued with an Action Plan Follow Up documents to pick up with their line manager or partner, to support their continued professional development. Delegates will be provided with advice on how best to embed their learning, through a variety of additional support tools – including workplace shadowing, mentoring, coaching and online resources.
Structured across 6 modules, our programme is intended to be attended sequentially – however, each module has been carefully designed so that it can be attended on a stand-alone basis. New for 2020, we have suggested timeframes in between modules – ensuring that delegates can digest and practise the skills that they have learnt on each module. Consequently, the full course can be completed across 4 years - and can also be condensed at the discretion of member firms - ensuring that your teams will be supported during the span of the beginning of their careers. Courses can be slotted in alongside their professional accountancy or legal qualifications, ensuring that delegates can develop their technical skillset in tandem with their personnel and management skills.
