Making Tax Digital - Campaign for Clarity
Making Tax Digital (MTD) is a major new policy initiative from the Government through the HMRC, which is due to introduced in 2018. If you run a small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) or are an owner-operator in the UK, it will affect your business and you need to be ready.
As the UK’s leading association of chartered accountancy and law firms, the UK200Group represents the interests of c150,000 SMEs. We believe that HMRC’s proposals and plans could benefit from greater clarity.
We have therefore launched our campaign for clarity on MTD. It aims to:
- Provide SMEs with a voice on MTD
- Publish guidance to help SMEs understand and navigate MTD
- Offer practical advice and guidance to SMEs on how to prepare their businesses for MTD
- Connect SMEs to MTD-ready accountancy firms that can assist and offer high quality business advice.
