Anti-avoidance tax measures ramped up

HMRC and the Treasury are moving forward with plans to introduce a general anti-avoidance tax rule (GAAR), despite opposition from businesses and accountants. David Ingall, partner at UK200Group member firm JWPCreers said that this would be a step back for tax legislation and inevitably innocent people are going to get caught out by GAAR.
