Theme - International deals and Brexit impact
A full day course with our discussions and presentations being focussed on cross border deals and the impact we are experiencing to date, and expect to see ahead, of Brexit.
If your practice is anything like ours, the number of transactions with an international element has increased dramatically in the last couple of years, with perhaps as many as half of our M&A transactions involving an overseas buyer, or an overseas target for a UK buyer.
This creates opportunities and challenges, and the purposes of this training day will be to consider, discuss and share experiences relating to:
- Handling language and cultural issues
- Undertaking due diligence outside the UK
Similarly, we are hearing a lot of debate about Brexit from London and Brussels but what’s the impact on deals so far, and what do we think is coming in the next two years?
On a separate subject, we are seeing a further tightening of the ethical regulations around audit work and corporate finance work. We’re inviting the ICAEW to come and speak on the subject and hopefully we can then quiz them on the practical examples I’m sure you are facing.
The full agenda of speakers and sessions will follow in due course, however, in the meantime I attach the registration form.

We hope you find this day of interest and look forward to receiving your registration
** Please note **
We had hoped to run a wider UK wide SME corporate finance conference later this month in the Midlands, but this has been deferred to next year. Further details to follow.
