All accountant member firms undergo an annual independent peer review to ensure that the standards set by the Group are being met. This covers the areas of tax procedures and controls, accounts preparation, audit work and insolvency, if appropriate, and the firm’s own quality control system.
Potential and existing members are required to attain the quality grades A, B or C before being accepted or continuing as a UK200Group member. Several firms have achieved the highest level, grade A where a few have failed over the years and have left the membership.
